RebuildAlert
Privacy policy
Last updated September 9, 2026. This covers the RebuildAlert service at www.rebuildalert.com, owned and operated by Record of Sale, LLC, an Oregon LLC.
Who operates RebuildAlert
Record of Sale, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company, owns and operates the RebuildAlert service at www.rebuildalert.com. This policy describes personal information we collect when you create an account, subscribe, or receive obligation alerts. It does not cover other products that may share infrastructure or a payment processor account. Contact is email-only at publisher@noticenearby.com.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your name, email, and a hashed password. If you subscribe we store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, billing interval, and (for Starter) the U.S. state you chose. Saved watches store the filters you set. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles payment details on its own pages.
OpenFEMA and project data
Obligation alerts are built from public OpenFEMA datasets (Public Assistance funded projects, applicants, and disaster declarations). Applicant names and mailing addresses in those datasets are public records. We display them in the product and email them to subscribers whose watches match that work. We do not sell that government data as a standalone list.
How we use it
Account data is used to sign you in, bill the subscription through Stripe, send watch digests, reset passwords, and operate the product. We do not use your account for advertising networks.
Processors
Hosting and edge delivery are on Vercel. The application database is Neon Postgres. Payments and the Customer Portal are processed by Stripe. Transactional email (watch digests and password-reset links) is sent by Resend when a sending key is configured. Those processors see only what they need to provide their service.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies only: session and CSRF cookies required to sign you in and keep the account secure. RebuildAlert does not use third-party advertising cookies, analytics pixels, or a client-side analytics SDK.
Retention, cancellation, and deletion
We keep account and billing records while the account exists and as needed for taxes, accounting, or dispute records. Cancel a subscription in the Stripe Customer Portal from Billing. Access continues through the paid period end. To delete an account and stored personal information, email publisher@noticenearby.com from the address on the account. We will confirm and remove account data we control, except records we must keep for law or payment disputes.
We do not sell personal information
RebuildAlert does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell OpenFEMA applicant names or mailing addresses as a list.
